Search for Charity

I just read about this new search engine that launched last year, which gives away half of its profits to charity, so I thought I'd share it. The search engine is EveryClick, and is now one of the fastest growing search engines in the United Kingdom.

So far they have raised over £100,000 for 170,000 different charities (which are user selected). They now claim 33,000 users per month, which isn't that much compared to Google, Yahoo, or any semi-successful website. But the site is growing by 40% each month, which is a pretty darn good growth rate.

Neither the users or the charities have to pay anything to utilize or benefit from the service. So how do the charities get money? The money that EveryClick is giving is half of their advertising revenue. Not too shabby for being just one year old.
